The Lion, the Trickster, and the Awakening Earth
A Myth for the Full Moon in Leo – February 12th/13th 2025
In the ancient kingdom of Solara, where the skies burned gold and the rivers hummed with the songs of the time, there lived a mighty Lion King named Lior. His mane shimmered like the rays of the sun, and his roar could make the stars tremble. Lior ruled with pride and passion, his heart ablaze with the desire to be seen, celebrated, and remembered. To him, recognition was everything—the applause of his people, the gleam of his name etched into history, the warmth of adoration from all corners of the realm.
But beyond Solara’s glowing borders lay the cool, distant kingdom of Aetheris, ruled by Aquila, the Trickster God of Winds and Minds. Aquila was swift and sharp, always thinking three steps ahead, his mind a labyrinth of logic and invention. Where Lior sought passion, Aquila sought truth. Where Lior roared to be heard, Aquila whispered secrets to shift perspectives. Aquila had little patience for Lior’s fiery dramatics and saw them as mere distractions from the greater collective good.
For years, the two kingdoms coexisted in a delicate balance: Fire and Air, Heart and Mind, Passion and Reason. But on the night of the Full Moon in Leo, that balance was shattered.
As the Moon rose full and proud in Leo, its silver light bathed Lior’s kingdom in a glow that magnified every emotion, desire, and need for validation. The people of Solara danced and celebrated under the moonlight, but beneath their joy lurked insecurities and hidden fears—questions about their worth, their place in the world, and whether their passions truly mattered.
Meanwhile, in Aetheris, Aquila watched the festivities from afar, a knowing smirk on his lips. He saw the vanity and the chaos bubbling beneath Solara’s surface and decided it was time to test the Lion’s pride. With a flick of his wrist, Aquila sent Mercurius, his swift and clever messenger, to stir the winds of change.
Mercurius, the god of communication and trickery, flew to Solara and whispered into the ears of Lior’s subjects. His words were like honeyed poison, sweet but unsettling:
• “Does the Lion truly see you, or just your applause?”
• “Is this joy real, or just a performance?”
• “Do you follow him because you believe in him—or because you fear his roar?”
These whispers spread like wildfire, igniting doubt and confusion in the people's hearts. They began to question their loyalty, their purpose, and even their own passions. Lior, sensing the unease, grew defensive and angry. His roars grew louder and more desperate, trying to drown out the voices of doubt.
But the more he roared, the more the people withdrew, realising that their adoration had become a cage, built on the fragile foundation of ego and illusion.
Just as tensions reached a boiling point, the Earth itself began to tremble. From the depths of the ground rose Uranis, the ancient, unpredictable Titan of Disruption. His body was forged from stone and lightning, his eyes glowing with the wild energy of change. Uranis had been silent for centuries, but now, drawn by the celestial chaos, he emerged to break what had become stagnant.
With a mighty crack of his stone fists, Uranis struck the land, sending shockwaves through both Solara and Aetheris. The T-square of energies was complete—the Moon’s emotional fire, the Sun and Mercury’s mental detachment, and Uranis’ chaotic force all clashed in a cosmic storm.
• In Solara, the people’s illusions of grandeur crumbled. They saw how much they had relied on external validation and how fragile their confidence truly was.
• In Aetheris, Aquila’s cold logic was shattered by the unpredictability of the Earth. He realised that knowledge without emotion was as empty as passion without purpose.
Both kingdoms were left reeling, forced to confront the uncomfortable truths that had been buried beneath pride, logic, and false security.
The Moral Revelation:
Rebuilding from the Ashes
As the dust settled, Lior the Lion stood amidst the ruins of his once-glorious kingdom. His mane, though dimmed, still glowed faintly in the moonlight. He realised that true strength wasn’t in being worshipped, but in being authentic, even when no one was watching. His roar softened, becoming a voice that invited others to find their own courage, rather than demanding their applause.
In Aetheris, Aquila reflected on the chaos. He understood that wisdom without heart was just as dangerous as passion without direction. He began to weave emotion into his intellect, realising that truth and compassion must walk hand in hand.
And Uranis, the Earth-Shaker, returned to his slumber, knowing that his work was done—for now.
This myth teaches us that the Full Moon in Leo, tangled in a T-square with the Sun, Mercury, and Uranus, challenges us to balance pride and authenticity, logic and emotion, stability and change. When our lives are built on ego or false beliefs, the universe will shake us awake, often in unexpected ways.
Like Lior and Aquila, we must learn to integrate our hearts and minds, find strength in authenticity rather than appearance, and embrace change rather than fear it. Although disruptions may feel overwhelming, they are the crucibles through which our truest selves are forged.
The towers may fall, but from the rubble, new, stronger foundations can rise.
