Awaken Designs undertook a spectacular design and fit-out warehouse conversion in the prestigious Winchcombe Carson Wool Store.
We raised the floors by 150mm to showcase (previously unseen) water views from every interior vantage point. Two new mezzanine levels were built, with a Japanese bathhouse beneath that included contemplative garden and wet-edge bath.
Original brick walls and beautiful bay windows were retained, ceilings were painted black to encourage intimacy. We commissioned handmade recycled carved red wooden doors for a dramatic entrance.
